Camp React Assistant Coach - Illinois
Camp React Assistant Coaches will be a part of an experienced group of talented coaches and peers. Your responsibility as a Camp React Assistant Coach centers around improving the general day-to-day operations of the camp. You are encouraged to demonstrate and even train alongside the campers whenever possible to help boost the general standard of the camp. As a younger member of the staff, the expectation will be to lead by example in as much as you do to as you will be a direct role model for the campers. You will also be encouraged to collaborate with the Staff Coaches as much as possible to learn more about the technical side of training and preparing for the goalkeeper position.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate various actions during sessions to provide top-level examples for the goalkeepers.
- Implement supporting training points during Camp React sessions when needed.
- Move, set up, and break down gear for sessions.
- Help with any additional administrative work as requested.
- Encourage, support, and lift the training mentality of young aspiring goalkeepers inside and outside of training.
- Represent Big Cat by wearing Big Cat gear at GK sessions.
- Promote & encourage Big Cat supplemental training and gloves.
Requirements:
- Must be available to attend Camp React Illinois (week-long residential Camp)
- Must be currently playing Professional or College Soccer.
- Must be able to accurately demonstrate training-related goalkeeper actions during sessions.
- Must be coachable/adaptable.
- Must be able to help move and organize training gear, including lifting and moving boxes of gloves/shirts/etc.
- Must be current with the modern goalkeeper's function within a team.
- Bring a positive, energetic attitude to the coaching staff and campers on and off the training ground.
